Growing up I remember how impressed I was with all the hand painted art used in movie posters, album covers, VHS covers, and book covers. I especially looked forward to seeing the new movie poster art come out. The posters seemed magical large size and showed off the beauty of the illustration. I thought to myself "Wow! I want to make beautiful poster art!"
The last seven years I have drawn and painted most every day to make a stunning collection of pop culture posters. I start by creating a very detailed drawing. Much thought and effort is devouted to creating a stunning drawing. The drawing has to be strong as it is the foundation for the painting. This portfolio shows the drawing and painting for each art piece and many of the processes I use to make my art!
